I have lost Notes while setting up a Mac Mini M2 using Sonoma. The notes are on my ipad. Is there a way to import them to my Mac Mini?

Because notes logo appeared on the sidebar (Chrome) I assumed that notes transferred, but no, it opened a new Notes database.

Mac mini, macOS 14.2

Are you using the Apple Notes App? Or are you using Notes on Chrome?

If using Google Notes, have you added your google account to the Mac. Open the Notes app, then click on the Notes menu at the top, and then click on accounts and add your Google account there if that ks where you keep yur Notes.

Otherwise, check that you have logged in with the same iCloud account on both the iPad and the Mac.
