My father passed away in February 2022 and I have his iPad. it needs to update as do many apps but I don't know his password and my sister has closed down all his email accounts. What do I need to do a factory reset and take ownership? I have a copy of his death certificate.

I have gone down this path multiple times. I need to know where to send the documentation (ie. Death Certificate, letter from Trust/Family Executor, etc). When I've visited the link you've posted, I literally end up in circles with each click opening a new tab resulting in six or seven tabs with no results.
