I would like to re-map my keys on a bluetooth keyboard for my iPad to a Dvorak layout. I can change the onscreen layout (that's easy) but the bluetooth one is still qwerty layout. Under hardware keyboard is lists ANSI, ISO and JIS. Looks like there may be programs out there that you can remap keys. But Karabiner is for Mac, not iOS.
It would be so great if I could get this to work.
If I go to Settings>General>Keyboards>Hardware Keyboard, I have a huge long list, including Dvorak. I'm using Apple's Magic Keyboard. What hardware are you using? Is the keyboard connected while you're trying to change the settings?
I FOUND IT! THIS WILL BE GREAT. ALSO I WAS ABLE TO JUST POP OFF THE KEY BUTTONS ON THE KEYBOARD AND REARRANGE THEM. A LITTLE IFFY AS TO WHETHER OR NOT YOUR KEYBOARD WILL LET YOU DO THAT BUTT THEY SNAPPED OFF AND BACK ON QUITE NICE.

Glad you got it working! But I think you broke the caps lock key.... ;-)
