Touch id with winter dry fingers

Finger ID doesn't work in the winter because my fingers are dry. I live in the Northeast. I've tried redoing the ID, but that doesn't help. I'm looking for some kind of hack that will work--like breathing on my finger or using light hand lotion. I've tried these both and they don't work.
