Unable to use USB hub for keyboard/mouse on LG monitor when using usb-c connection from macbook pro
I have a 2023 M3 Macbook Pro and I want to connect it to an LG 32UN880 monitor via the USB-C port on the monitor and use the built in USB hub on the monitor to run my keyboard and mouse. Goal is to use a single connector to change out my personal macbook with my Windows 10 work machine. The Windows machine works as expected. The macbook shows the video fine, but the mouse/keyboard do not work. The macbook displays the message USB Accessories Disabled Unplug the accessory using too much power to re-enable USB devices. I've plugged and re-plugged every combination, but nothing works. Mouse and keyboard work fine when I use an Anker 5 in 1 usb-c hub to connect the keyboard and mouse to the macbook. Anyone know how to make this work?
