Connect LG UltraGear to Mac

So I recently got myself a MacBook Air M2. Since I was a Windows user till now I've got some questions.

I have a LG UltraGear monitor that is currently connected to my PC. I wanted to connect it to my MacBook for easier overview when photo editing, but my MacBook doesn't recognise the external monitor. I got a hub with USB C, USB A, HDMI and DP ports and it doesn't work when I try connecting the monitor. I got the hub brand new and payed for it more then I expected so I don't think there is a problem with that, my mouse and keyboard work fine through it. So does anybody know how to fix this?

Have you tried connecting the LG directly to your Mac to confirm whether the problem lies with the monitor interfacing with the Mac or is instead an issue with the dock? That a USB device like a keyboard is working does not rule out an issue with the dock (nor does how much you paid for the dock, particularly if it's sold as a device intended for Windows systems).
