How do I transfer large files from my iMac to my iPad?

I'm at loss in figuring this out: I have several large files that I want to transfer/copy from my iMac27 to my iPad Pro 12.5.

Transfer files from iMac that doesn't work to ipad. As the title says. My iMac doesn't want to work and I want to transfer all my files from there to an iPad. My iMac turns on but then it stays on the Apple logo and then it restarts again and again. I already tried everything. I want to at least be able to save the files that I have there. I also have a Macbook and an iPhone (I’m only mentioning it in case it's not possible with an iPad but with another device instead.)

Depending on the size of your iCloud+ subscription, you could use iCloud Drive on both the Mac and the iPad Pro. Then on the Mac, copy the files to iCloud Drive and then, on the iPad, open the Files app to see them.
