Playing music in the car during phone call

I need to know if there is a way I can play music through my car while having a phone call on my phone or on AirPods if I’m using CarPlay or even bluetooth. I can’t even change my iPhone to music only connection for the car because its not built in to the iOS software.

Playback music while on call? Hi everyone. I've wondered why it isn't possible to play music on a bluetooth speaker, while on call with the speakers of the iphone. Carplay Audio Source When I have my iPhone plugged into my truck and using carplay for music and maps, if someone else plugs in their iPhone to charge using a different charging cord, it will change to their audio or pause mine if they are changing songs. How do I keep that from happening and my music not being interrupted?
