No Sound For Screen Recordings

Went to record a screen to share a segment of a speech with a friend. No sound. Not an issue on my iPhone.

A screen recording will by default try to capture sound through the Mac’s microphone, in case the Mac user is narrator of the recording. To capture clean “system audio” instead, an additional piece of third party software is needed. See jeffreythefrog’s excellent description at e.g.: discussions.apple.com/thread/254745720.
