Can't connect iMac to windows 11 PC

So I just picked up a brand new Windows 11 mini pc specifically to run MS Visio. The PC is a little rocket and its working fine with one exception... I can't seem to "discover" my iMac on the network page of the PC. Its showing every device under the sun in my house that's using the wifi including my MyCloud drives and devices like Firesticks and my printer... but the iMac is not showing up. From the iMac side, I can see the PC and I can connect, but it stops at the "Connected as" and I can't see the desktop of the PC or any files.

What settings am I missing to allow these two computers to see each other and share files and directories? Is it on one side like just the iMac or the PC, or is it both? Thanks in advance for the help.-Mike

Have you enabled sharing on both computers?

Enabling on one will only allow other devices to access that computer's resources.

From the Mac side, unless you have shared your entire user folder you won't see the Windows PC desktop or other files except what is explicitly shared on the Windows PC.

On the Mac side, you would need to enable File Sharing for the Windows PC to be able to see it.
