Please let us turn off shake to undo "feature"

Dear Apple,
Please let us have the ability to turn off shake to undo feature on the iPhone. It is a cute feature that never gets implemented when I intend Rather, it is more of a hindrance to have to tap to get past the "Nothing to Undo" or "Undo Typing?" dialog.

Apparently, I am to shaky to type, but have enough motor control to play games and use other motion-controlled apps just fine.

Again, please let us turn off Shake to Undo on the iPhone.

Thanks

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4), Apple TV, iPhone 2g, 3GS, 4, iPad, iMac, Mac mini

this is a VERY annoying part of my phone (outside of the dropped calls). it happens to me about 10 times per day. i am typing a sms, and go to put my phone down, and the 'nothing to undo' comes up!!! very annoying and i dont know why there isnt a disable for this in the setting.

this is elememtary and they should fix it. and for those it doesnt happen to...

feel grateful that you have more grace than me and the tons of other people online complaining about this.

Im not rough on the phone, but I dont baby it.

Its my only complaint with the iphone4 so far, one of those things that makes you ask why they would have such a ridiculous feature on a phone.

Occasionally Apple gets too cute for it's own good. Once you get over the "gee I can shake my phone" factor there's nothing particularly useful about it.

I'm in the camp of "message constantly comes up." In fact, I sometimes get this annoying message upwards of 20 times while trying to compose a text message, no matter how gently I try to hold my phone. It's almost to the point of rendering SMS unusable for me. I love everything else about my iPhone (and iMac and iPad) but have to admit I won't buy another one until this becomes a user-controlled "feature."

Just tested it myself. You have to shake it pretty hard to get it to pop-up, and even then there's a cancel option.

If your iPad is doing this constantly and you're not intentionally shaking it, and you don't have a disability that causes you to shake severely, then it's likely a hardware issue, not a software issue. Your device may need service or replacement, and jailbreaking won't really help the root issue.

Please let us turn off shake to undo "feature"
