Apple Pay used second bank card when the first one was declined

Apple Pay charged a different card from my wallet, and there is no transaction history visible on the card it charged. However, on the card I attempted to use and was declined (Revolut), there is a history of rejected payment attempts in the wallet. I tried to make the payment four times without success. I was surprised to discover on the bank account of the second card that all the transactions are recorded. What should I do in this situation?

In app purchases use the payment method(s) you’ve added to your Apple Account. This is how my Apple Account looks. Yours will look similar.

Please notice the 3 payment methods I’ve added for payments. If the first method is declined for any reason, the system automatically defaults to a secondary method. If only one account is available, the purchase will be declined until the payment method has funds.

This is the way the Apple App Store has always worked. It designed to work that way to avoid interruption of services and subscriptions. Subscriptions are governed under different rules because they involve a legal contract and payments may still be charged.

The support articles linked below explain how to remove a payment method. If you have subscriptions you’ll need to cancel the subscription to cancel the obligation. You can request a refund if a purchase or subscription is accidentally made etc. A refund may be issued at the merchant’s or Apple’s discretion.

I would never in my life have come up with such an exploitation of users and without re-authorization use of another card.... So then I was cheated and can say goodbye to my funds?

Personally, if I knew that such a situation could occur that Apple Pay would automatically use my other card from my wallet and take funds from it, I would never use such an option in my life.... A blatant fraud in my opinion and a scam.

Explain to me what the security is if Apple Pay can arbitrarily take funds from a different card than I wanted.... Who set such misunderstood conditions? In addition, Apple Pay does not ask for re-authorization even if FaceID, PIN or other ways.... This means that by authorizing one card in person, it sent the same authorization token from the card of the first bank to the card of the second bank, in my humble opinion this already falls under fraud.

In the current situation, I am at a loss because of such sick policies.

I may have misunderstood your original post. Was this a payment using your Apple Account or a purchase using your Apple Wallet?

I used the in-game purchase and it redirected me to Apple Pay where I selected the target card I wanted to pay for the purchase. This card was declined and this information appeared in my Apple Wallet. On the other hand, no authorization window popped up that I wanted to use another card.... Naturally, it seems to me that at such a time he should ask for authorization from the bank whose card he wants to use. Additional I do not see so far that on the card, which he deigned to use himself - the information about the transcation....
