Temper the Text Wrap

Has anyone discovered a default setting for Text Wrap, other than "Automatic," which has to be the most annoying choice possible. I see questions from newbies wondering why their objects are acting like positive-pole magnets on the Pages dance floor, giving each other a little hip hike into the hinterlands. After nearly a decade of using Pages for graphics I'd give anything to know how to set "None" as the default. Does anyone know how to reach the development team? I mean...this is ridiculous!

This has been a conversational topic nearly forever. Every object that is inserted into a Pages document has inherent "polarity" because its Arrange panel Text Wrap is automatically set to Automatic, not to None, which eliminates object and text repulsion. There is no means to configure Pages to use None instead of automatic — not even with AppleScript.

As we are fellow users and the Pages product team does not participate in these public communities, you can send them a feature request in the form of direct feedback from the Pages application menu.
