Why can’t I update my cards expiration date and security code in payments?

There seems to be an ongoing issue with payment methods showing they have expired when they have not.

Follow the steps in the support document linked below to try to update your payment method.

Other than verifying the payment method and waiting for Apple to resolve the issue, there is not much tat can be done at this point.

That’s become a common issue over the last 10 days. The work around is to add another payment method using a four digit expiration date. Remove the problematic card. Restart iPhone. Add problematic card to account using four digit expiration date. Secondary payment method may be removed if desired.

Both places I deleted the one in wallet and in payment and shipping. And it won’t take the new card with correct expiration date and pin. It just keeps using the old card.

I am SO frustrated by this! I thought I had it fixed but it just popped up again. I’ve tried everything I can find online including deleting the card and trying to add it back in. I could correct the code but not the expiration date. This is a chase card so I doubt it’s a problem on their end. What can I do??

Can’t change the expiration date and pin on the current card on my i phone. No matter what i do even when i take the delete the card and add it as a new card it still goes back to my old expire date and security pin

Where are you trying to edit the card, Apple Wallet or Apple ID Account?

Is the expiration date being added as a 4 digit number in the following format, MM/YYYY?

Is the address and phone number correct?

It certainly does, but the directions differ in regard to your device, iOS version and if you’re trying to change in your card in Apple ID or Apple Wallet.
