Macbook Air with Ventura won't convert voice memos M4a to MP3 on Music app

I just bought a new Macbook Air refurbished with Ventura 13 operating system and I cannot convert voice memos from my iphone to mp3 through itunes (it's no longer called itunes, but Music with a red icon).

My previous Macbook air was Sonoma and I could easily record a voice memo on my iphone 12 [VoiceMemos (iPhone Version 17.1.2 (Build 21B101], and import into itunes and convert it to mp3.

Now I cannot.

When I click on convert on my present laptop, it's not giving me the option and not even lighting up as an option.

I need to be able to convert voice memos to mp3 for my job as a voice over artist for auditions.

What is a way around this?
