An iPad 10th generation supports both the Apple pencil 1st generation (Lightning) and the Apple pencil 3rd generation (USB-C), as described in this list:--> Apple Pencil compatibility
That said, if you have an Apple Pencil 3rd generation (USB-C), you don't need any adapter.
On trhe contrary, if you have an Apple Pencil 1st generation (Lightning), you need this adapter:--> USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter
