ios 17 text message issues

ios 17: i’ve seen many people talk about issues ive been having like

  • editing a long text and putting your cursor where you want to edit and it drops your view to the bottom of the text instead of where you put the cursor
  • audio messages: zeroing out on me for no reason, like it can be a 60 sec audio. and then an audio message being too long ? when there really isn’t a limit that i found anywhere? don’t judge but my bf and i love sending long audios to each other and have NEVER had any issues. if it’s like 20-30 mins it’ll say it’s too long and ask if you want to edit. BUT THERES NO WAY TO EDIT.

• btw, i’ve learned that if you get a notification and your phones on loud, it ruins the audio message. so I always turn my phone on silent when I make an audio message.

• and with the long text cursor issue- i just put the cursor where i want, press the space bar or anything on the keyboard and it will bring you to where you want to be. and then you can edit, double tap to cut copy paste, all that. but we shouldn’t have to do that.

• also, when my bf and i send audios, we just do like 10 mins at a time and do like part 1 & part 2 😂 NOTHING SUCKS MORE THAN TALKING FOR LIKE 30 MINS JUST FOR IT TO ALL BE GONE. can’t even screen record it cuz you cant even play it anymore. ugh.

BUT!!

THE BIGGEST ISSUE THAT IM NOT SEEING TALKED ABOUT IS:

• having issues with the text messages when im writing a long message and then I can no longer see the messages sent between me and the other person above.

before I was able to scroll down on the screen and it would minimize the text box and I could see the messages perfectly fine, but now I can’t.

so if I’m replying to something specific that they said and i forget it, I can’t review anything that they said.

or just for any reason I wanna look back at the messages while I’m typing a longer text, i can’t see them.

it just shows a full screen of my long text. I don’t know how to fix this and it’s driving me crazy 😫
