can't stop spinning

There is a text message on screen of macbookair, Chrome that cannot be stopped nor deleted.

Will appreciate your help.

MAC's spinning wheel My wife's Mac suddenly locked up with the multi coloured spinning wheel in the middle of updating a document. It spun for about an hour then the screen timed out. When she went back in it looked ok, tried to select an open app and the spinny wheel reappeared and has been spinning for a couple of hours. How can I force a reboot, or do I need to pull the power? MacBook Pro slow, grey box with spinning circles Hello, I’m running a 2014 MacBook Pro. Today it’s running very slow. There is a small grey box in the lower right hand corner that looks like it’s searching (three moving circles. I have restarted it twice, tried to cancel the box out, logged out and in, shut the MacBook down, attempted to force quit applications….please advise. Thank you for your time.

Go to the apple logo in menu bar, and then press force quit. There you can select chrome to force quit it
