BetterMe App issues

How do you go about successfully canceling this asinine app? It does not show up on my phone under subscriptions, and I paid a one time fee, never used the app, and tried to cancel it. I am being sent emails asking for money in order to cancel this app, even though I cannot log onto BetterMe. Thoroughly frustrated and confused.
