Siri Remote and iPhone remote not scrolling on AppleTV 4k.
Menu, volume, TV button work, but can’t scroll to get anywhere. Followed all restarting, repairing, unplugging steps multiple times. Remote is plugged in or has been charged overnight. Software should be updated, but can’t scroll to check (phone remotes behave the same). Stuck on Movies, and all I can do is open and close app… I can Airplay to AppleTV, and have 3 others in the house working fine.
If both the physical remote and the software remote won’t do navigation, then the issue is probably with the box, not the remotes.
Please disconnect the Apple TV box from power for 30 sec. or so, then reconnect, wait for the startup (~15 sec), then see if it is better now.
If the issue persists, then please contact the Apple Support staff.
There is an option to turn off swiping gestures. If that happened, then click off-axis in the cardinal directions to navigate in steps.
