I bought my Iphone 8-month-old and now , iPhone battery life is at just 90% life. When I called Apple customer service to replace my battery, which is still under warranty, they asked me to wait until the battery life drops to 80%. wonder was he joking?
No, they weren't joking. Apple considers the battery fit for use until it drops below 80%.
cause by then, the warranty will expire.. what is the sense of a warranty?
The purpose of the warranty is top cover things that fail earlier than they are predicted to. If your battery is above 80% a the end of a year, then it has not failed.
I need clarification on why the battery is at 90% after just 8 months and request a replacement immidiately. I am not gonna spend money over faulty Iphone sold to me.
iPhone batteries, on average, lose about 1% capacity a month. However, that decline isn't linear. Capacity declines more quickly early in the life of the phone and then generally slows. You may find that your phone stays at 90% for months. Based on the information you've given, there is nothing to indicate that your phone is "faulty".
