I am no longer able to find my phone using my watch - I have unpaired and re-paired and still not able to call up the screen on the wath to do it. What do I do?

On my Apple watch, I used to be able to swipe the screen right and hit a button to find my I phone. This screen no longer comes up. I have unpaired and re-paired my watch to the phone but that screen still doesn't come up. What am I missing?

“Hey Siri, ping my iPhone”

The previous Control Center swipe-up has moved to a quick press and release of the flat oval side button

Use Control Center on Apple Watch - Apple Support

DO NOT hold the button, as that brings up Emergency services and the power off icon.

Getting the press and release timing just right can be an issue. You can make it more reliable by changing:

Settings -> Accessibility -> Side Button Click Speed

“Side Button Click Speed” can adjust the press and release timing, so you get the Control Center display every time. Adjusting The “Side Button Click Speed” is also useful for Apple Pay’s double press and release. There is “Default” (sub second timing of needed), “Slow” (up to a second between press and release), and “Slowest” (up to 2 seconds between press and release). I like the “Slow” setting.

NOTE: Slow and Slowest settings do not mean you have to wait a full second or 2 seconds between press and release. It just means you do not need to be super fast.

Apparently, Apple has removed finding your iPhone from swiping up on your watch.

Instead, you need to look for an app on your watch that has Laptop/Phone icon, computer green.

Once opened, click on your iPhone, then press ‘play sound’.

Then your phone should start ringing.

You can also try the following steps, to see if you can do the old method;

  1. Swiping up from the bottom (control centre)
  2. Click the button that has an iPhone with vibrations on the side
  3. If button turns blue, it should start ringing your iPhone.
  4. If there’s no button, you need to use the above method.

I am no longer able to find my phone using my watch - I have unpaired and re-paired and still not able to call up the screen on the wath to do it. What do I do?
