Dolby Atmos on Appletv 4k

I read to select Dolby Atmos on Atv4K go to settings/video and audio/audio format and then select immersive sound then choose Dolby Atmos.

There is no “immersive sound” selection, only “stereo” and 5.1 surround.

However when 5.1 is chosen the

descriptive section it says “turn off Change Format to improve audio quality”

I am completely confused.

How do I set my Appletv for Dolby Atmos?

I am hooking it up to a Sony Dolby Atmos receiver and have Atmos speakers

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16

Apple TV 4k Dolby Atmos issue Hi I just bought an apple TV 4k 3d generation and I have a pair of earbuds that support Dolby Atmos (LG tone free t90) and an older TV that doesn't support Dolby Atmos. When I connect earbuds con Apple TV on the settings Audio>audio format doesn't appear Dolby Atmos. Instead said Dolby 5.1 My questions: 1.Do I need to buy a TV that supports Dolby Atmos for have it on the earbuds too? 2. If yes which are the best settings for audio format, have it on or off. tvOS 26 - Atmos upgrade broke legacy Dolby Digital Surround Sound After tvOS 26 upgrade - all native audio moved to Dolby Atmos and broke legacy Dolby Digital stereo head end. Dialogue in Apple TV+ shows and other native Apple media player Atmos audio is gone now. The only way to get it back is to switch the audio to stereo only, which ruins the surround sound experience. The conversion 5.1 in audio settings does not work. Is Apple going to fix this? It's really ruining the audio experience and you can't downgrade to the previous tvOS. Making me want to cancel Apple TV+. Does anyone have a work around that doesn't kill my surround sound? Stereo is a Denon AVR-S570BT.
