Like I said, I appreciated your response. The post was fairly targeted asking for an explanation specifically about why the AirTag was pinging but not updating.
You provided no insights as to that question. Sure you gave accurate and helpful information about how AirTags work, but you never synthesized that information into something relevant to my question. Even with no information about my knowledge of AirTags, the question I posed does not call for the information you provided. It called for a specific answer to why something may not be updating. Without more, your post falls short of a satisfactory response.
I have no intention of being rude or ungrateful. It is just that this type of response appears to be a pattern on these discussion boards and is not helpful.
Additionally I find your comments about using AirTags for pet tracking to be petty and illustrative of how you missed the point of my question. I specifically said the cat was fine and well in the post. Your discussion regarding the use of AirTags for pet tracking was irrelevant. I’ve been using them for 2 years and have absolutely loved the way they work. This question is about an AirTag that is clearly acting faulty, not about the types of things I use my products for.
thank you again for your response.
