I’ve reset an ipad
going through the start up steps to logging to my Apple ID it asks for a passcode of one of my other devices.
I use my iPhone, literally unlocking it at the same time but the iPad keeps saying I’m inputting the wrong passcode…
can’t figure it out, any help/tips appreciated
Is it an old iPad? Logging in with 2 factor authentication is not always supported on older iPads.
Try and get a verification code from a trusted device in settings, and put that in the place where you would normally put your password to see if you can login this way

the verification code part works,
then I accept the terms and conditions,
after that is says "Access to your account is protected by the passcode for 'iPhone.xxxx' your passcode is encrypted and cannot be read by apple.
i use the correct passcode (checked multiple times) and the ipad says its incorrect...
