Hello,i have a iPhone X with iOS 16.7 and i want to purchase Apple Watch Series 7,is the devices compatible ?

Will I have matching problems ? Thanks for replies.

Only if the watch is on an OS version below 10.0; unless the one you get has been in storage for a while, or used by someone who didn't update it, it won't be.

This sucks. I gave my Apple Watch 7(WatchOS 10.5) to my dad who has an iPhone 10(iOS 16.7.8) and it will not pair. It says the phone needs to be updated apparently.
