Where are the Pages contextual menus

Where are the Pages contextual menus? Right-clicking brings up the same sort of contextual menus you get on an ordinary Safari web page. There are no text or paragraph formatting options and nothing specific to Pages. Can this be right?

Hi Paul,

Jerry's reply shows how the Panels on the right show only the options that are relevant to the context.

For example, if I click on some text, I see only the options for that text.

If I click on a table, I see only options for that Table.

If I click on a Graph (Chart), I see only options for that particular style of Graph.

The Panels on the right do not clutter the screen with irrelevant options. The options are contextual depending upon what is selected.

That is how Pages works.

Regards,

Ian.

OK, thanks. I'm aware of (and use) the palettes on the right, but frankly it seems odd to call them 'contextual menus'. They require a long mouse movement, and choice of a tab, to access rather than a simple 'right-click' in position. There is no law that every possibility has to be on a right-click context menu. Numbers has right-click menus with many options. The Page designers could do better. But thanks for confirming that it's not something wrong with the program on my computer.
