MacBook Pro numlock

Hi,

I’ve got a MacBook Pro and I can’t get logged in as when I’m putting my password in it’s saying it’s wrong (it isn’t) when I’ve went to password reset in recovery mode I’ve discovered that I can’t type any numbers in they are just coming up as the symbols and all the letters I’m typing are in capital even without caps lock on, anyone any ideas please help?
