Trying photo shuffle as background

Hi, I am trying to set up my background using photo shuffle, and some photos got zoomed in automatically, and I cannot change it. So I crop the photos into background size to avoid the zoom. However, even the photos are perfect in size. they still got zoomed in when setting as background. Can someone help me to solve this? Thanks.

how do you stop slideshow from zooming in on every single photo? Using Apple Mac Book Pro, MacOS 15.5 I made a slide show of 4x3 portrait photos. When I run the slideshow it zooms in on every single photo, cutting off probably 30-40% of the photo. It will also randomly put two photos side by side. How to stop this please? Bit odd that Apple, with such a focus on presentation, would do this? Thanks,
