New iPhone 15 Watch Pairing

I no longer have my Verizon iPhone 13. My watch was not unpaired before the phone was erased and traded to my new carrier T-Mobile. My watch was not with me at the time of changing phones. When returning home I charged up my watch and wore it the next day. I noticed the time was incorrect and I could not pair it to my phone. I tried resetting it twice and eventually erased my watch. Now it’s stuck on the Apple screen “40mm aluminum case • Designed by Apple in California”. My phone does not recognize the watch and I’m lost on what to do.

It sounds like your watch is already unpaired from the iPhone. If not, here are two ways to unpair your watch if you no longer have the paired iPhone:

  • See the 'How to erase your Apple Watch if you don't have your iPhone' section of:

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support

  • With a web browser, go to: https://www.iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID. Open Find My iPhone and select All Devices (at the top). Then click your Apple Watch, select 'Erase Apple Watch', and select Next until the device is erased. Finally click "X" next to remove your Apple Watch.

Then follow these steps:
