When my new imac 2023 was set up a new apple id was created.
I cannot sync my photos, calendar, contacts etc to this new id
Will it cause problems if I delete this new apple id and replace it with my original apple ID which is currently on my old computer, iPhone and iPad. There is very little data on the new Apple ID.
Can my original Apple ID email still be used in this situation?

Yes, you can sign out of the Apple ID on your Mac and sign in with your old Apple ID.
You can also reset the Mac to Factory Settings and set it up as new again, only this time use your old Apple ID instead of creating a new one.

Thanks. I had not considered a complete reset but I have wasted so much time already on this issue that it is worth considering.
