When trying to use iMessage it says my SIM card needs to be connected to an iPhone or Apple ID
When trying to use iMessage it says my SIM card needs to be connected to an iPhone or Apple ID
First, go to Settings/Phone and make sure the phone number is correct; fix it if it isn’t.
Then go to Settings/Messages/Send & Receive and make sure the number is correct there. If it isn’t tap on your Apple ID and sign out, restart your phone, then sign back in. If that doesn’t fix it change your Apple ID password→Change your Apple ID password - Apple Support
UPDATE: Left out a step - Go to Settings/[your name]/Sign-In & Security and make sure your phone number is also correct there, and fix it if it isn’t.
