I would like want to view only the photos in my iPhone albums and not anywhere else, my Library is getting huge. I tried to create a Smart Album, but it does not seem to exist.

When I move the pictures to the Album folders it moves them to the bottom of recent in my library as well. Just to confuse things more.

When I move a picture, I would like it to be viewed only in that folder. Pretty simple.....

iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 17

Simple answer: you can't. Every picture is in the Library, albums are simply links to the images in the library. This is so an image can be in any number of albums and use no extra space.

Recents is a list of images you've recently interacted with - like when you add them to Albums, hence the name: recents.

Smart Albums are not a feature of Photos for iOS.
