MacBook Air log in forgotten

I have just bought a new MacBook Air and forgotten my log in as I was using the touch tab and now it’s asking for my password which I’ve forgotten. How do I reset this please?

MacBook password forgot and can’t reset i got a MacBook Air recently. I usually login with Touch ID but I forgot the password. I restarted to try and reset it but it won’t let me. It just locks me out now. How do I reset my password if the MacBook won’t give me the option??
