First thing first, depends what you're doing!
Some major applications (for example in professional audio) are not yet confirmed to work properly. Same with some vdeo, pgoto applications.
If you use all-Apple stuff only, then go ahead...
A lot depends on your apps and their compatibility with Sonoma.
For the apps that I use I have not had any issues. of course I always keep my apps updated/upgraded to current versions.
Do your homework before upgrading to make sure all your apps and any external hardware that you use are compatible with Sonoma. The biggest source of issues with any macOS upgrade is generally from those that don't make sure their stuff is compatible with the new OS.
Yes! For security reasons and new features, you should keep your Mac mini up to date.
Works as well as Ventura but I prefer my previous Monterey but that is just me.
