Wife has iPhone XR. Apple suggested updating to IOS 17.0 from IOS 16. According to Apple, IOS 17 is for iPhone XS and later, but not XR. Should we u

ninstall IOS 17 and revert to IOS 16?

iOS 17 is for XR and later.

iPhone XR, XS, SE 2nd or 3rd edition, iPhone 11 and newer: You can update to iOS 17.2.1
iPhone 8, and iPhone X you can update to 16.7.3
