can I use my Apple Tv remote to controll my Bose spea

Bought anew Bose sound bar and can't figure out how to control with AppleTV remote

The Siri Remote can send volume control signals (up/down/mute) to the soundbar.

If it doesn’t work automatically, then use: Settings﹥Remotes and Devices﹥Volume Control﹥Learn New Device…


You are advised to not pair as speaker for Apple TV, but instead as speaker for the TV. Set Apple TV to output audio to the TV, then set the TV to passthrough audio to the soundbar.


On|off may be controlled through HDMI-CEC. Alternatively, the soundbar may have automatic on|off protocols from detecting audio signals or not on its input.
