iPhone screen is black

My iPhone 14 Pro IOS 17.1.2 screen is black but the phone is on. I can hear the phone ring, text chimes, and incoming email chimes, but the screen remains black. It has happened to me four times in the past couple of months. It eventually comes back on, but there's no telling when. Why is this happening, and can Apple fix the problem?

Why does my iPhone 16 Pro screen keep going black? This has been happening several times per day: I am using my new (1 month old) iPhone 16 Pro when for no reason the screen will turn black. The phone is still on because I can still hear sound from the video I’m playing or the music I’m listening to. The volume buttons still work and if I can restart the phone by pressing volume up, volume down, and holding the main button for about 15 seconds. My phone 11 screen is black but I can hear notifications My iPhone 11 screen is Pitch black I can hear all the notifications sounds and if my phones rings I tried to rest it did not work and I can’t get into my phone to reset at all what do I do ?
