M1 Max MBP & HP 120W G4 TB4 Dock random black screen issue

The most frequent issue with display is that the CABLEs required for error-free support of high end displays are constrained, but the sellers of those displays do not bother to tell you that. The cables 'shipped in the box' are often 'lowest bidder' cables, just good enough to keep you from returning the display the same day.

HDMI cables you want for HDMI-only Displays (higher resolutions than 720p TV sets) are marked as Certified with an anti-counterfeiting tag and are labeled:

"Premium High Speed HDMI cable" or that + "with Ethernet" --OR--

"Ultra High Speed HDMI cable" or that + "48G"

Cables with No Certification tags are good for your standard 720p TV set, and not much more.

HDMI was invented for HD TV sets. it works great at its original resolution of 720i or 720p. At higher resolutions, it quickly develops issues that are complex to solve, and the cables and adapters required to solve are NOT intuitive.

I have the same problem with the HP 120W G4 TB4 Dock with Macbook Pro M3 Max. I confirm that the problem is with the dock. If I connect the same (second) monitor to the second TB port of the macbook, I have no problems. My sole purpose to use this dock is to connect two monitors to my macbook with one port.

cables for high-Performance DisplayPort displays provide best performance when cable lengths are limited to ONE meter, maximum, for USB-C cables OR displayPort cables.

For thunderBolt connection, a genuine ThunderBolt cable is limited to 0.8 meter for the Apple brand cable, 0.5 meter for typical cables

I get the issue while using a USB cable on the DP (Alt Mode) port. Do you have any suggestions for that?
