Downloading from hard drive

I need to move info from PC to iMac using an external hard drive. Plugged in and it is visible on desktop. Not sure what to do next.Thank you

Copy and paste. If you are doing things like moving photos from the PC's external HD then it's really simple:


  1. Select the photos you want to copy from the HD to the Mac and type Command + C (Copy)
  2. Have the iMac's Dock open so you can see the icons on the Dock.
  3. Drag the photos from the External Hard Disk to the Photos icon on the Dock and release (this will not only copy to the Mac it will import the photos into the Photos app on the iMac.
