Can't disable Focus on Macbook Pro

This is one of many random issues that have happened intermittently since I installed Sonoma.

I never turned Focus on, in the previous operating system or in Sonoma. Focus arbitrarily turned it self on today and I do not see any way to disable, delete, or otherwise do away with it. I also think it may be complicating some of the other problems I'm having, with Messenger and other apps. I have followed the steps on the Apple online manual, but some things the steps refer to do not appear on my screen.

I'd appreciate any help or ideas, for turning off Focus and/or for returning to the previous OS. Thanks.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.6
