The text in emails I send and receive is too small to read and when I click on Zoom, the area of the email increases but the text size remains small. My text in the emails I write is set at 13 pts. But it is too small on my screen to read. Is there a universal setting I can use to increase the size of the text?

I fixed it... It's under System Settings / Accessibility / Text Size. :) Thanks for trying to assist! Just makes me look deeper.

I've tried all these tips. They do not address my issue. It's not about changing fonts or font size, per se, it's more about the inability to zoom in on the Mac Mail app. This is not an issue on my phone or my tablet. But why should I have to change devices just to write an email?
When you zoom in on a Safari page, for example. the page contents gets larger -- text, pictures, etc. However, when you zoom in on an email in the Mail app, the area of the email increases, but the contents stays the same size. This is nothing new with the Mail app on Mac.
Nope -- spoke too soon. That just universally changes all my font sizes in Mail. When I send out an email, many people read them on their phones, so having the text set large enough for me to read makes it too large for their phone screens. What a pain.
I think someone in tech support needs to figure out how to fix this.
