I am hoping that I can find a watch face I really like for my new Apple Watch 9. Can third-party watch face subscriptions be used on your Apple Watch 9? If so, does anyone have one they recommend?

The most you can do is use a watch face that allows you to have your own pictures as a wallpaper.
Watch faces are copyrighted, so allowing a watch face that is no in the watch face gallery would be a legal nightmare for Apple.

There are apps in the App Store for watch faces and widgets. I don’t use them but you could give those a try. You would likely be able to see the gallery in the free app and then if something you want is in the In App purchase section you could purchase it. Just go to the App Store and search “Apple Watch Faces” to see the apps available
