How to write the number 9 on my watch using scribble?

My watch is asking me to type my password. I don't like that, but it is what it is.

Anyhow, the interface is Scribble. No matter how hard I try I cannot write number 9. So I cannot write my password.

It either thinks it's a 'g' or a 'q'

How do I scribble the number 9, or is there a workaround?

Editorial: dear apple, please make it possible to paste this from my phone. It's a nightmare entering text on my watch.

OK I solved it by asking Apple. Normally when the watch prompts you to enter text, you will also get a notification on the paired iPhone offering to let you input the text on the phone instead. This was not happening for me, because I had iPhone --> Settings --> Notifications --> Apple Watch Keyboard --> Notification Delivery set to "Scheduled Delivery". Changing that to "Immediate Delivery" solved it for me.

There is still no way to write the number 9 on my watch because Scribble is limited, so it's still a dumb idea for apple to require entering text on the watch, but this is the solution for others looking for an answer.
