Split screen in Pages

Suddenly I'm getting "no available windows" when I try to open 2 Pages files using OS Ventura. I'm not in Full Screen mode and the file "separate Spaces" is selected.

Open both Pages documents. In the document that you want split screen to the left, press and hold its green traffic light and select Tile Window to Left of Screen. You should have half of your split screen. Just click on the remaining window with the other open Pages document to complete the split screen of both documents.

To undo this, press the F3 key and click on the normal Desktop icon at the top of the screen.

I selected two Pages documents on Ventura 13.6.3 and right-cicked and chose Open with Pages v13.2. Once both documents were open, I pressed and held the green traffic light on the first document and selected Tile Window to Left of Screen. As soon as I mouse over the remaining open Pages document window, it takes on a blue border and when I single-click on that window, it joins the previous document in a split-screen view.

Nothing different here than what I described on macOS Sonoma 14.2.1.

I have never received the "No available Windows" and why have you selected "separate Spaces?"
