Mac Mini M2 won’t display @ 60Hz

Not really a question but a solution I found was that I have an

Insignia 43” TV as my Primary Display (HDMI to USB-C) only working at 30Hz@4k

and a

Dell Monitor as my Second Display (HDMI to HDMI) working at 60Hz@4k

both my cables are the same brand and almost identical rated for 8k and up to 120Hz. All I had to do was swap the cables for my Insignia to work at 60Hz. From HDMI-USBC and swapped with HDMI-HDMI and it now works at 60Hz.

The other cable HDMI-USBC I moved to the Dell and it works at 60Hz@4k so I know it wasn’t the cable in a sense.

I’ve had to try different cables and configurations for my old Mac Mini M1 as well. TVs used as monitors seem to be quirky and trying different cables seems to work even though they may be rated you just have to try a couple it seems. If you run into this issue just hit up Amazon and get a few cables and return whatever doesn’t work, I spent way to much time the first time I hope I can save someone else the time

One of the key things is to get HDMI consortium certified cables. There are lots and lots of other HDMI cables out there that are not certified and are a crap shoot as to whether they will work properly or not with all systems. It does not matter what they claim on the packaging or the advertising. If it is not certified results are not guaranteed!!!!!

For 4K, the cables will have these symbols if certified:
