Should changing Apple password disrupt contact key verification?

I changed my apple password and checked sign out of all devices and resigned into my iPhone, (the only device using my apple account) and after signing into my phone everyone I had contact key verification set up with had a notification stating… an unrecognized device may have been added to my account.

On my end, all my contacts showed verified as normal with the check mark and I didn’t have any notifications stating otherwise.

I would not of known there was a verification issue on my end, if it were not for my contacts letting me know.

Is this normal behavior from just changing my password?

I would normally look this stuff up, but it’s pretty new technology.

Thanks
