Moving photos and contacts to new phone and new Apple ID

we had to get my 83 yr old mom new phone and new apple ID how do I move her comtacts and photos to the new ID and new phone. havent been able to figure it out with all the info ive been finding.

Icloud Data Mixed With Someone Else's A while ago i lost my iphone over the side of my boat. I needed something for work so i borrowed my mothers iPad. I logged out of her iCloud account on the Ipad (at least i thought i did) and logged into mine. After i got my new phone in the mail i restored the new phone from my iCloud backup. All of my contacts, messages and apps were restored. However my pictures (that were backed up to my iCloud account) were deleted and replaced with the pictures from her account. Also her stored passwords were transferred to my phone. I had everything backed up to a computer as well so it wasnt as issue of loosing anything. This was about a year ago and i turned iCloud backup off to not deal with it. However i was to get everything working correctly now. Can i log into my iCloud account on a computer and delete all of the data somehow? (Basically make it a fresh account) And them sync my phone back up to iCloud to get my pictures, passwords etc on there?

Transferring to new Apple ID? Hello! I have had an Apple phone since around 2012. When we set it up, we put my phone number/information under my dad’s Apple ID for safety purposes. Now, 12 years later, we are running into some obvious issues with this tactic. He receives all of my text messages on his iPad, which also contains some games he would like to save his progress on. However, his phone is linked to a completely separate Apple ID - the only devices that share this one are his iPad, my phone, and my iPad. So my phone number etc are all connected to his account. I don’t care about losing Game Center progress, but I would like to keep my photos and contacts, if possible. Currently, the approach I am considering is this: download photos to a computer unlink my phone number from the original account log out of his Apple ID and into my own personal ID I know we could also swap his iPad to his actual ID, but I don’t want him to have to lose any Game Center data that’s important to him. Would this work? I’m not sure what all I am going to lose when I switch over, and what I need to prep for (i.e. writing down all my contacts). I also know that swapping Apple IDs isn’t really what Apple wants its users to do, so I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this or if there’s a better approach!!

New Apple ID without losing everything All my family are on the one Apple ID. My son wants his own apple ID however we don't want to loose all his photos, contacts and Apps. How do we set him up a new ID and keep them. Can you save the photos, contacts to the phone prior to setting up new ID.

Generally you cannot transfer information between Apple IDs. You have some options for photos and contacts. For contacts, if the contacts are part of an email account, simply set up that account on the phone and sync contacts. Otherwise, you'll need to export/share individually between IDs.

For photos, provided you have originals on the device you can log in using the new Apple ID. The photos should stay on the new account.

Have a backup of everything first; and offline backup to a computer or wherever you keep the most precious data.

It's typically far easier to simply change the Apple ID, not create a new one. Change your Apple ID - Apple Support
