Acrobat is not in my login but starts every time

My mac book has been acting buggy for awhile. It runs very hot sometimes for no reason. The fan is loud and kicks on. It happens randomly and I have closed programs like Illustrator and Photoshop thinking they were too much for the computer but it seems to happen randomly.

Now acrobat is opening every time the computer is restarted. I have looked through settings-general-login and acrobat is not on the list of apps. I have looked through the acrobat settings and do not see anything about login or startup. Then I went to finder and looked through the startup and login folders and do not see acrobat there either.

I am concerned I might have some malware. I downloaded buho cleaner awhile ago and it did clean up a lot of unneeded files. I had a lot of junk from using premiere pro and other adobe products. It's nice that buho also tells me the temp on my computer which has been a concern. I started to download total AV but never went through with the payment since I started reading a lot of negative reviews. I also thought about getting clean my mac but see lots of negative reviews for that as well...

How do I determine if I have malware or what reason my mac is so hot for and why acrobat is starting up all the time now?

Run the third party app EtreCheck and post the report here so we can examine it for possible clues. It will also tell us if you full removed those anti-virus apps, cleaing/optimizer apps from the system since many times they may leave parts behind. Plus it can help us identify why the system may be acting buggy.
