All my files are suddenly gone on Mac and icloud
The icloud storage was full. I logged in to the icloud drive on my iPhone to manage account storage. I chose not to sync my desktop files. This then freed up storgae on my icloud.
Next morning, i log into macbook pro, at first my desktop was normal, then everything suddenly disappeared from my desktop.
I logged into icloud website and logged into my account to restore files. The account was empty except for some of my notes, email and only recent files from today.
I have tried to find files and log into time machine but time machine wont load and no files can be located on macbook pro.
There is no trace of any of my files on the Macbook, even the desktop and downloads folders on the left hand side of finder under favourites arent there. Plus I get an error (8072)message when i try to make a new folder on the desktop now too.
I have looked into the trash folders on both Macbook and Icloud, tried restarting my macbook normally and in safe mode and still nothing. Currently, the other Profiles/ users on my Mackbook are completely normal and all their files are still there its just when i log into my main account that i have nothing.
Any advice or help would be appreciated, thanks.
